About College of Engineering, Trivandrum

College of Engineering Trivandrum, popularly known as CET, is one of the most sought after Engineering College. Commanding an expanse of lush greenery of 80 acres, the CET campus is near Sreekaryam, well within the city limits of Thiruvananthapuram. The college celebrated its Platinum Jubilee year in the month of July 2014 and Shri.Pranab Mukherjee, the 13th President of India visited the college for inaugurating Platinum Jubilee celebrations. On 18th July, 2014, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former President of India, also visited the campus and addressed the staff and students of CET.

CET is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and most of the departments are approved Research centres. About 4000 students are enrolled for various undergraduate, post graduate and part-time courses of the college. Innovations are encouraged by providing facilities to set up incubation units. An ambitious plan is on the anvil, that could give a major breakthrough in opening up avenues for inventions in Engineering & Technology by seting up a Research Park within the CET campus.

With the decision to set up training facilities by Directorate of Technical Education, CET also has assumed a role as the training Centre for Faculty and Staff Development in technical educational institutions in Kerala.
